1. Aces up- Aces up means two pairs or a pair of aces.
2. Action- Action refers to any move that you make which could affect how your poker game is played. It could either be a fold, a bet or a raise.
3. Active player- An active player is a player that is taking part in a hand.
4. Aggressive action- This refers to the move of the poker player which could make him win a pot despite not taking part in a showdown. It also means a bet or a raise.
5. All in- All in refers to a player's move which makes him bet all of his chips into the pot.
6. Back raise- Back raise is a raise that increases the bet of another player.
7. Bet- This refers to the move of a player once he decides o put in a certain number of his chips into the pot.
8. Blank- Blank refers to a card that has no or little value in a player's hand.
9. Buy-in- Buy-in is the minimum amount of money that a player has to give in to be able to join a poker match.
10. Cards speak- Cards speak is the true value of a hand depending on the card's face value.
11. Cold call- Cold call refers to the bet or a series of bets made by the poker player.
12. Color Change- A color change is a move made by a player if he decides to change the color of his chips.
13. Cut card- Cut card is also known as bottom card.
14. Face card- Face card includes the king, queen or jack.
15. Free roll- Free roll refers to any player's opportunity to win the pot without having to deal with risks or costs.
16. Outs- This are the set of cards that could increase the chances of a hand to win.
17. Shuffle- Shuffle is the mixing of cards to ensure that players are dealt with a a random set of cards.
